Tram, aged 7

Tram now lives with her older sister and older brother in a small house in the mountainous area of Danang city. They are orphaned children. Their parents passed away when Tram was 3 years old. Tram is now seven years old and learning at the local primary school at grade 2. Fortunately, all three remain HIV negative.

Since the loss of their parents, they have had to rely on each other, and live in  degraded house. Their family has a poor certificate, which enables them to receive some government assistance. They were unable to buy food, but they received the love from their neighbors, who helped them out. Due to their living conditions; the local government offered support and assisted to upgrade the house. The oldest sister, Tran, who is 17 years old, is the breadwinner in the family. Tran ceased going to school so she could work and raise money to care for two younger children. In that difficult situation, they loved, shared, and fostered each other.

Tram's brother and sister have kept  secret the nature  of their parents illness. Even though they are no longer alive, the risk of stigmatization and discrimination is still very high. At present, Tram's sister and brother are serving in Da Nang restaurants with low salary to try and make ends meet.
Although their work schedule is busy, Tram’s siblings try to arrange their working hours so they can spend time with her, to compensate for the loss of love and care of her parents.
Tram is still very small, and does not fully understand the loss they are suffering; Tram remains as carefree as other children. Currently, they wish to receive the help to help Tram have a better life.
