Bao, aged 10
Bao ’s mother died when she was one years old, she caught HIV from her her mother when she was born. When her father died due to HIV/AIDS she went to live with her grandmother. Things were very difficult because her grandmother had to stay at home to look after her and could not work.
She asked VNHIP if we could help and VNHIP arranged for her to go to the Vung Tau Centre for Social Protection of Children in Ho Chi Minh City to live, around 900 kilometres from their home town. The centre arranges for her see a doctor once a month for a checkup and medications, so he is healthy now. Bao is 10 year old now and happy living at the center. The staff take really good care of her, there are many other children to play with. Some of the other children at the center also have HIV too. Bao ’s grandmother miss her very much. She would like go to Vung Tau Centre for Social Protection one time per year but it hard to her to find money for travel expenses and takes a long time to travel . She has very little income so she is very poor. There are other VNHIP children at the Centre, so their families visit me and let everyone know that I am happy and doing well. You can help! Bao’s grandmother would like to visit her in the Vung Tau Centre for Social Protection of Children. She needs 100 USD for her travel expenses one time every year. NOTE: VNHIP uses PayPal to process recurring donations. Please enter the name and age of the child/children you wish to sponsor under 'Add special instructions to seller' when you review your order.
