Hearing and Beyond in Vietnam
Across Vietnam, there are approximately 200,000 children under the age of 18 with hearing loss. Unfortunately, access to specialized care and audiology services remains limited. Newborn hearing tests are uncommon, modern audiology technology is limited, and early intervention isn't readily available. In Hoi An, there's no schooling available for those who are deaf or hard of hearing.
VNHIP partnered with Hearing and Beyond Vietnam, a small, privately funded NGO, to resolve this barrier. Together, we work to expand access to education, early intervention, and provide the necessary resources for these children to thrive.
