Tram’s Story: Orphaned but Not Alone
At 13 years old, Tram has already faced immense hardship. Orphaned at the age of three after losing both parents to HIV/AIDS, she now lives with her older siblings in a small house in a mountainous area of Da Nang City. Fortunately, all three siblings are HIV-negative, but life has been far from easy.
After their parents' passing, Tram’s 24-year-old sister, Tran, became the family’s sole provider, giving up her education to work and care for her younger siblings. Though they receive some government assistance and community support, their income is barely enough to cover basic needs. Tram’s older brother and sister work long hours in restaurants, yet they do their best to spend time with her, offering the love and care she deserves. Despite the hardships, Tram remains cheerful, too young to fully grasp the weight of their loss. Her siblings work tirelessly to protect her future, but they need help to ensure she has the life every child deserves. With your support, Tram can grow up in a safe and nurturing environment, free from the burdens of her past.
