children with special needs
children with special needs
From 2020 to 2024, VNHIP, in collaboration with the Research Center for Inclusion (RCI) and local partners, implemented a project aimed at improving access to quality education for children with disabilities in Quang Tri and Quang Nam provinces, Vietnam.
Recognizing the barriers that children with disabilities face in mainstream schools, the project focused on: ✅ Enhancing teacher capacity through specialized training on inclusive education strategies. ✅ Establishing Support Units for Inclusive Education (SUIE) within schools to provide tailored support. ✅ Promoting student engagement through leadership programs, outdoor learning activities, and life skills development. ✅ Advocating for policy implementation by strengthening collaboration with education authorities. By directly benefiting 240 children with disabilities, 70 teachers, and 240 parents, this initiative created sustainable models of inclusive education, ensuring that all children—regardless of ability—have the opportunity to learn and thrive. |
